![]() 'Finding the Ferryman' is Lindsay's first Memoir. Lindsay frankly and wonderfully tells the stories of the many threshold crossings of her life. Reading the book you feel that you really get to know her and you become easily engaged with the myriad of characters she meets in her travels. You will laugh, cry and be given some food for thought about your own life and threshold crossings. The book also contains the lyrics to 66 of Lindsay's songs placed chronologically and thematically throughout the book. From the very first song she ever wrote to the latest one you really appreciate why she is an award winning songwriter. The songs create a beautiful eb and flow to the memoir and give you a deeper and more visceral experience of what her feelings and thoughts were around each significant time period. Although the book is an easy read it is very engaging and cerainly hard to put down.
Customer Review A hero's journey: compulsive reading, 14 September 2015 By Marg This review is from: Finding The Ferryman: One Songwriter's Lyrical Life (Kindle Edition) Lindsay's memoir is insightful, irreverent, self-deprecatingly funny, and sometimes sad, but wise throughout. Recommended for those in search of themselves. |
